The Similar tab on a candidate record surfaces profiles from your own database that resemble the one you’re looking at — comparable roles, backgrounds, and markets.

Where it earns its keep

  • The dropout moment. Your lead candidate withdraws at Interview. Similar, opened on their record, is the fastest honest answer to “who’s next?” — drawn from people you already own.
  • Building a longlist around one anchor. A client says “someone like her.” Open her record, harvest Similar, stage the results on the pipeline.
  • Duplicate suspicion. Two imports that might be the same person show up next to each other; compare before you work them separately.

Similar vs Smart Match

They answer different questions. Similar starts from a person (“more like this profile”); Smart Match starts from a mandate (“who fits these criteria?”). In a live search you’ll often use both: Smart Match for the sweep, Similar to deepen around the profiles the client approves in the portal.
