Some searches must stay quiet. You can still advertise them. Switch on Anonymise this job and every page a candidate can see shows a neutral phrase, such as “A confidential client”, instead of your client’s name.

Why recruiters anonymise a job

  • Confidential searches. A senior role, a new team or a market entry that the client does not want to announce yet.
  • Replacing someone who does not know yet. The person in the seat must not find their own job on a career page with their employer’s name on it.
  • Keeping competitors in the dark. A job ad tells the market where a company is growing. Many clients do not want competitors to read that.
  • Protecting your exclusivity. When the client’s name is public, candidates and other agencies can go around you. A neutral phrase keeps the search with you.
You still publish the job, collect applications and screen candidates as usual. Only the name is hidden.

Turn it on

Open the job's Details tab

Open the job and go to the Details tab. Under Publish to career page you find the switch Anonymise this job. It reads: “The client’s name is hidden everywhere candidates can see this job.” It is off by default.

Switch it on

Turn on Anonymise this job. A field called Shown to candidates as appears underneath. It is already filled with “A confidential client”.

Write your own phrase, if you like

Keep the default, or write something that tells candidates a bit more without giving the client away, for example “A leading industrial group in Bavaria”. Your text is saved as soon as you click out of the field.

Check the description

If the job description still names the client, the job screen shows The description still names the client. Click Replace with the neutral phrase and Yena rewrites those mentions in one click.
That is all. There is nothing else to set up and no per-page settings.

What candidates see

On every page a candidate can see, the client’s name is replaced by your phrase, and the client’s logo is hidden:
  • The career site: the job list, the job page, the page title and the job data Google reads for Google for Jobs.
  • The apply form, including its consent texts.
  • The confirmation email after they apply.
  • Their application status page.
  • Share links you send to candidates. The client’s name, logo and contact person are hidden.
  • Rejection emails.
If the job title or the description mention the client’s name, with or without “GmbH”, those mentions are replaced too.

What stays visible to you

Your own screens in Yena never change. You and your team always see the real client name on the job, in the pipeline and in lists. The client’s own portal is not anonymised either. Your client always sees their own name.
Switch Anonymise this job off and the real name is back everywhere at once. You can switch it on again at any time.
