# Follow-ups from calls and the Today view

> When you log a call, Yena proposes the follow-up task and its date. On your Dashboard, Today shows what is due and the jobs you own.

Two things that belong together: Yena turns "call me back in two weeks" into a task while you log the call, and your Dashboard shows that task on the day it is due.

## A day with follow-ups

Laura is an executive search consultant in Munich. Late morning she finishes a call with Anna Beispiel, a finance director interested in a Head of Finance mandate. Anna wants to talk to her family first and asks Laura to call back in two weeks.

Laura used to put that on a sticky note. Two weeks later the note was under a pile of paper, and Anna heard from a competitor first.

**1. Laura logs the call on Anna's record**

On the candidate, she opens the **Activity** tab, clicks **Log Activity** and chooses **Log Call**. She types what happened: "Called Anna. She wants to talk to her family first. Call her back in two weeks." She clicks **OK**.

**2. Yena proposes the follow-up inside the same window**

The window stays open and shows a ticked box, **Create a follow-up task**, with a title ("Call Anna back") and a date two weeks ahead, in the timezone of your workspace. Laura can change the title, change the date, or untick the box.

**3. She clicks OK again**

The call is saved and the task exists: assigned to Laura, linked to Anna's record, due on that date. No new screen, no copying into a task list.

**4. On the day it is due, it is on her Dashboard, under Today**

When Laura opens Yena that morning, the **Due today** list on the Dashboard lists "Call Anna back". She clicks it, the task opens, she calls, and she marks it done. It leaves the list without a reload.

Today on the Dashboard: Due today lists the tasks assigned to you that are due or overdue

What Laura gets: nothing is forgotten, she does not have to remember to create a task, and Anna gets the call she was promised.

## What Yena proposes

* **One task per logged call or meeting.** It reads what you wrote and proposes at most one follow-up. Saving the same note again does not create a second task.
* **Dates in your timezone.** "Next Tuesday" and "in two weeks" become a real date in your workspace's timezone.
* **No invented dates.** If the text gives no exact day, for example "after the Q1 bonus", the date stays empty and the window says "The note gives no exact day. Pick one, or save the task without a date."
* **It never blocks your save.** If the proposal cannot be made, the call is saved as usual and you add a task yourself.
* **Notes too.** A note you add in the candidate's **Notes** tab is read the same way. When it mentions a next step, the follow-up is proposed before the note is saved.
* **If the task cannot be created,** the call is still saved. The window says "Saved, but the follow-up task could not be created. Try again, or untick it."

## Today on the Dashboard

Below the search box on the Dashboard, two lists make up Today:

* **Due today**: tasks assigned to you that are due today or overdue, oldest first. Overdue tasks show a red "Overdue" with their date. Click a task to open it, edit it or complete it. A task that is no longer due today drops out of the list.
* **My open jobs**: the open jobs you own, with their status and when something last happened on them. The job with the most recent movement is first. Click a job to open it. A job with no movement yet shows "No activity yet".

My open jobs: the jobs you own, most recently active first.

Each list shows the first eight entries. The number on the right is the total.

A job moves to the top when a candidate is added, moves to another stage or applies.

## The morning email

The daily agenda email at 8:00 also lists your open tasks that are overdue or due today, next to your campaign next steps. It follows the setting **Daily campaign agenda** under **Settings → Notifications**. Switch it off there if you do not want the email.
