# Your first week with Yena

> A five-day plan from empty workspace to a client reviewing candidates — built around one real mandate.

The honest test of Yena is one real mandate, worked end to end. Here's the week.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Day 1 — set up and search">
    [Register](/en/getting-started/start-your-trial), set [workspace defaults](/en/workspace/team-and-workspace-settings) (currency, timezone, language), and run [your first Sourcer search](/en/getting-started/first-sourcer-run) on the hardest role on your desk. Read the market read before the shortlist — it tells you what game you're playing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Day 2 — calibrate and reveal">
    Review the shortlist with Yes/Maybe/No until the Sourcer recalibrates, [refine](/en/sourcer/refining-a-search) once, then [reveal contacts](/en/sourcer/finding-contact-details) for the profiles you'll genuinely approach and [import them](/en/sourcer/from-sourcer-to-ats).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Day 3 — structure the search">
    Create the [client company](/en/pipeline/client-accounts) and the [mandate](/en/pipeline/creating-a-mandate), pull your imports onto the [pipeline](/en/pipeline/stages-and-candidates), and start conversations. Notes and tasks go on the records, not in your head.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Day 4 — bring your history">
    [Migrate the spreadsheet](/en/guides/migrating-from-spreadsheets) or at least this quarter's active candidates. Invite a colleague in [Team settings](/en/workspace/team-and-workspace-settings) and split the pipeline.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Day 5 — present">
    Screened candidates go to **Shortlist**, the [portal goes to the client](/en/portal/sharing-a-shortlist), and you watch approve/decline come back. That's the full loop inside one trial week — with [Reports](/en/workspace/reports) already counting what happened.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Stuck anywhere in the week? The [chat bubble on this site](/en/getting-started/getting-help) reaches a real person, and trial users testing on live mandates get debugged first.
